Applying Policies

Follow the steps below to apply a policy to a graphmart.

1. From the Graphmarts screen, select the graphmart to which a policy should be applied and then go to the Settings page.
2. Use the Data Access Policies menu to select the policy to apply to the graphmart. You can apply as many policies as applicable.

4. When finished, click Save All.

The following example illustrates the results of queries run against a dataset within a graphmart with and without policies applied to it.

The image below shows the results of a query run against the dataset without any policy applied to the graphmart. Note that the country field includes several countries and the contactName field shows the full name of the designated contact for a given companyName.

When a filtering policy for only those records with country = USA and a masking policy to conceal contactName using a hash function are implemented on the graphmart, running the same query yields the following result.
