Working with Network Navigator Dashboards

This topic discusses a number of high-level functions that can help you create your visualization.

Zooming In and Out

You can zoom in and out of the view by using the zoom slider at the left side of the page.

Panning

You can move the view horizontally or vertically to see a different part of visualization without changing the zoom level. Simply use your mouse to "grab" the view and move it in the direction you wish.

Performing Richer Searches in Network Navigator

In some instances, you may wish to perform more detailed searches of the elements to add to your visualization. You can do so by clicking the Search icon located to the left of the Search bar.

The Search dialog displays.

You can use this dialog to search for elements by date, tags, and other attributes.

Removing a Node from the Network

You can remove a node from the view via one of two ways:

  • Deselect the value corresponding to the node from the Search bar.

  • Right-click on the node to remove and, from the options that display, select Remove from visualization.

    You can opt to remove:

  • The selected element

  • All elements that are neighbors to the selected element

  • All edges

Filtering Values

You can filter for specific values in the network by expanding the Filters tool located at the left side of your screen.

The Filters tool displays all the types of data available in your screen as well as how many of each type there are.

As you mouse over each of these types of data, you will notice that all of the elements of these types are highlighted in your network view.

When you select a specific filter value, your view is updated accordingly.

Exporting Your Visualization to an Image File

The visualization you create in Network Navigator can be exported on an image file (.jpg) by clicking the Export icon located to the right of your screen.
