Configuring SPARQL Queries for a Visualization

If you are an advanced Network Navigator user, you can configure custom SPARQL queries to automatically specify who the neighbors of an element are and how labels should appear. This is done via the Graph tab of the Network Navigator | Edit Settings dialog.

  1. Select an element to create a query for.

  2. Click Add Neighbors Query. The Create Query dialog displays.

The query displayed in this dialog is the current query that run when an element is added to your visualization.

  3. Provide a title (label) for your query.

  4. Modify the query as necessary.

For example, if you wish to customize the labels of outgoing and incoming edges, you would look for the CONSTRUCT query for these elements and modify their rdfs:label.

  5. Click Save when you are finished. The new query displays in the Named Queries panel of the Edit Settings dialog. You can edit or delete this query by clicking on their respective icons at the right side of the panel.

  6. Create a rule to specify which query should be run when a particular element is added to a visualization by selecting this query from the Run when displayed dropdown.

  7. Click Close to save your settings. Your visualization is immediately updated.
