Graph Lakehouse Upgrade Notes

A key area of growth in Graph Lakehouse is the development and support of custom, user-managed extensions, such as the Graph Data Interface (GDI) for virtualization and Elasticsearch support. Most Graph Lakehouse releases include revisions to the API and prepackaged extensions. Because the extensions directory (<install_path>/lib/udx) is user-managed rather than Graph Lakehouse- or installer-controlled, you must uninstall the existing version of Graph Lakehouse and then install the new version. In-place upgrades are not supported.

Since Graph Lakehouse is stateless and Graph Studio manages all of your data, removing the existing installation does not impact Graph Studio or your graphmarts. To view installation and upgrade instructions for Graph Lakehouse, see Deploy a Static Graph Lakehouse Cluster.
